This tutorial will go over adding a custom profile picture to your breedfile (overwriting or otherwise), so that it will show up in the adoption center looking like this.
First Step: Make your image! Use dimensions of 105 x 89 pixels. I resized a petzpix I took of Arie's big boy persian and added a fun background to it. When you're done, save it anywhere you'd like in .bmp format.
Next Step: Open the file you'd like to change in LNZ pro. It doesn't matter if it's an original, OW breed, or something new. I'm going to use the Persian for this tutorial. On the left side, click the section labeled BMP. Inside every breedfile is a profile picture under the name of the default name that the game assigns to breeds. The persian, for instance, is always named Homebody. That's the name of his profile picture as well. Right click the "homebody" of your breed and delete.
Warning! Do not right click the whole BMP section and delete all resources. Some breeds, like the Maine Coon for example, have in-game textures in this section. Deleting the entire BMP section may also delete crucial texture files.
Next Step: After you've deleted the default profile image .bmp, right click anywhere in the white space on the left side of your breedfile. A list of options will show up, but click "add resource."
The "add new resource" box will show up on your screen. Touch nothing here! Simply click browse, locate your file, and select it. Edit nothing else! Just click "create."
You'll notice that your BMP section comes back on your breedfile, but this time it's got your picture. Super! But we're not finished yet. Expand the area on the left titled "string list," by clicking on the + sign to it's left. Choose the section within labeled "63." There may be lots of sections hiding in here, but the only area you're messing with is 63.
Most of these spots will be labeled as <empty>, as you can see. Somewhere in here will be a slot with the default-pet-name on it. See above, "homebody" on line 1000. Click it just once to enable you to edit it, and type in the name of the picture you've uploaded. My image in this case was called "bigboy," so I've renamed the area accordingly.
Save your breedfile and open your game! Your breedfile should now be displaying your custom image. The image file can now be relocated or even deleted; the game loads it into the file and doesn't need to access it off of your harddrive any longer.
Congrats! Your breed has a custom, one of a kind image.
This should be done on breeds of your own creation. Do not edit other people's files without their explicit permission to do so!
